Modu Viewer is in development. There is nothing to download yet. Not presenting unfinished work as finished is a principle of this product, so this page has no download button either.
What we commit to
These are not marketing lines. They are design rules enforced in the code.
No ads
No banners, no interstitials, no rewarded video. Nothing stands between you and your file.
Processed on your device
Files are handled locally by default. Nothing is sent to a server without your consent.
Your original is protected
Every file opens read-only. Edits happen on a copy, and saving creates a new file by default.
Opens immediately
A file shared from another app opens straight away, without passing through a home screen.
Nothing executes
Macros and scripts inside a document are preserved in the file but never run.
Filenames from everywhere
Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and emoji filenames are handled as they are.
Supported formats
72 formats have been assessed and classified, 10 of them in the first release. What each one can and cannot do is published as-is.
Why it is free
Opening a file is a basic thing to be able to do. So there are no ads, no analysis of your documents, and no sale of personal data.
Instead, processing happens on your device and server costs are kept near zero. If paid features ever appear, viewing files and basic editing will stay free.
