The Modu Viewer app has not been released. This document states how the product is designed and will be finalised after legal review before release. Today, moduviewer.com serves only static informational pages.
1. In one line
Modu Viewer processes your files on your device. Files are not sent to a server without your consent, and document contents are never used for advertising, marketing or AI training.
2. What this website collects
moduviewer.com currently uses no cookies, no analytics and no sign-up.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider may temporarily record standard web logs — IP address, request time, user agent — for operation and security. We do not use those logs to identify individuals.
3. What the app handles
- File contents — read and processed only on your device. Never transmitted to our servers.
- File names and paths — stored on your device for the recent-files list. You can clear them at any time.
- Temporary copies — created in app-private storage while editing, deleted automatically after a set period, and removable by you.
- Accounts — not required to view files or perform basic editing.
4. Sensitive files
Files that can contain credentials — .env, private keys and similar — are recognised
automatically and excluded from recent files, thumbnails and error reports. Their values
are masked until you choose to reveal them.
5. What we do not do
- No advertising SDKs.
- No collection or analysis of document contents.
- No use of your files or documents for AI training.
- No sale of personal data.
- No document contents or whole files in crash reports.
- No execution of macros, scripts or external connections found in a file.
6. When a server is involved
Some features — cross-device transfer, certain format conversions — may require a server. Those run only when you explicitly choose them, and before they run we tell you what is uploaded, how long it is kept and when it is deleted. Without your consent, nothing is sent.
7. Permissions
We request the minimum permissions needed. Beyond access to open the file you chose, we do not ask for contacts, location or call logs.
8. Children
Modu Viewer is not directed at a particular age group and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
